Who is eligible for a government-funded vaccine?
Children under 5
- Children aged 6 months to under 5 years. Can be given at the same time as routine childhood vaccines.
Pregnant women
- At any stage of pregnancy. Also helps protect your newborn in their first months of life.
Adults 65 and over
- A specially formulated high-dose vaccine designed to produce a stronger immune response is available for this group.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Eligible from 6 months of age and older.
